AN exciting new era began at Tring Swimming Club as they burst into action under new lead coach Justin Langford at the final round of the Peanuts League.
Tring impressed throughout the gala, finishing in second place overall on the night and securing fourth place in Division Two of the league.
The squad made a flying start, with Brianna Mazey winning the opening race, the U11 freestyle.
The team continued to lead the way, with Alice Tymms and James Chennells finishing first in the girls’ and boys’ U12 backstroke, before nine-year-olds Clem Waterhouse and Finlay Miles won their 25m races.
That was swiftly followed by first places for James Chennells and Katy Colwell, while Cole James took top spot in the U11 breaststroke and Peter Kenyon won the backstroke.
Callum Bullock then won his backstroke race, Molly Bradley came first in the U11 breaststroke, and Emma Killin was also victorious, in the U12 breaststroke.
Tring continued to enjoy success as more races came and went, and they put in a number of strong performances in the relay races,
The nine-year-old boys’ team – Callum Bullock Harrison Bullock, Finley Miles and George Thorne – were particularly fluent and bagged an emphatic win as Tring ended the night with 17 first placed finishes.
