Three Tring swimmers were presented with British Age Group Categories awards at the Hertfordshire County Championships presentation evening.
James Chennells, Cole James and George Thorne each picked up an award following their overall performance at the County Championships.
BAGCATS is a points system for establishing who the best swimmers really are within their age group at a particular competition.
It promotes swimmers competing in a variety of strokes and shows who are the champions of champions.
Thorne achieved third in the 10-year-old category with 847 points and a fantastic 200 individual medley. In the 12-year-old category, James took fourth with 1,702 points and Chennells was fifth with 1,634 points.
Tring club chairman Jo Sansom said: “This is such a fantastic achievement – no-one can remember Tring swimmers achieving three BAGCATS at a championships before.
“I am absolutely delighted for them and it is a brilliant reward for all the hard work they have been putting in over the last year.”
Having already achieved a national qualifying time in the 100m breaststroke last month, Cole James added: “It is such a great place to swim with a great team spirit. I’d just like it thank the coaches and everyone at club.”
