It was another busy weekend for the Gade Valley Harriers, with not only foot races, but the newly formed Gade Valley Tri Team making their debut.
At the Bedford Sprint Triathlon, Susie Ivin, Paula Cook and Dean Kidd completed the 400m swim, 24K bike ride and 5K run in the first event of the season.
In Edinburgh, Luca Ramusino took on the challenge of The Great Edinburgh Run and set a new PB of 1:47:19 over the 10-mile course.
At the St Albans parkrun, Andy Bishop led the GVH team home in 20:46, followed by William Terry in 35:34, Andy Terry in 35:35 and Paul Mosley in 35:35.
In the brutal 10K run at Bagshot, Gemma Bitaraf and her dog Chester confirmed their dominance of the Canni-Cross category by finishing in first place in a time of 57:34.
Simon Wallis completed the extreme race The Tough Mudder – billed as a hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle course with challenges designed to test your all-around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.
Simon also recently completed both the Brighton and London Marathons.
At the Black Park parkrun, John Lawler came home in 12th place, in a time of 19:21, swiftly followed by Vince Ellerby in 19:51.
Also running last weekend, at the Bracknell Half Marathon, Mark Crabtree, Claire McDonnell, Teresa Reason and Vicky Crawley put on a great show. Mark finished in fourth overall place in 1:17:11, ahead of Teresa 1:38:19, Vicky in 1:42:48 and Claire in 1:43:08.
