A rising teenage star from Berkhamsted Golf Club held her nerve to win the U18 section of the Hacienda Del Alamo Open by carding four birdies in her final round.

Six handicapper Hannah Screen shot a total score of 233 for the 54-hole tournament in Murcia, Spain.

Hannah, 14, said: “It was awesome winning the tournament in Spain as it’s given me a really positive start for the year ahead.

“It’s great, after all the support I’ve had from my family and the members at Berkhamsted Golf Club, to bring the trophy home.”

Hannah’s next tournament sees her represent the England Golf U16 Regional Squad in their match against the South West on the weekend of March 22.

Hannah is following in the footsteps of some top names who have tested themselves at Berkhamsted before turning professional – including Lee Westwood and Luke Donald.
