An impressive Tring team display was rewarded with second place against tough opposition in round two of the Chiltern League.

Winning performances came from Aliesha Mazey, Josh Weston and Maria McCormack, while 14 other swimmers achieved second-placed finishes.

Harvey Stangoe, Thomas Monks, Natasha Gething, the girls’ 14 and under 4x25m freestlye relay team, and the ladies’ open 4x50m freestlye relay squad all swam ‘too fast’, achieving PBs but unfortunately no points.

Tring head coach Justin Langford said he was pleased with the enthusiasm and commitment of the swimmers at all levels within the club and pointed out that this is essential in driving their continued improvement.

Club chairman Jo Sansom also emphasised the importance of these team events in building the positive atmosphere within the club.
