Tring Swimming Club emerged victorious in the third and final round of the Herts Swimming League Peanuts Gala in Potters Bar to clinch the Division Two title.

Clem Waterhouse opened the competition with a resounding first place in the U11 25m freestyle, before Nathan Gething bagged another victory.

Molly Bradley and James Chennells continued in the winning run with victories in their U12 backstroke events, and nine-year-old Tilly Beckwith and Joe Hudson also gained top points for Tring in their 25m freestyle races.

Daniel Chennells followed that with a win in the 25m backstroke, while Marcia Billingham gained first place in the U11 breaststroke.

Callum Bullock was thrilled to bag top spot in the U11 25m backstroke, and that was swiftly followed by Cole James who touched home in first place in the U12 breaststroke.

Tring Swimming Club’s Jayne Kenyon said: “Team Tring and lead coach Justin Lanford were delighted when announced as winners of the third round.

“They could not contain their excitement at discovering they had won overall in Division Two, leading to promotion into Division One for the new season.”

Each participant proudly collected an individual trophy together with the winners’ shield, and the club – sponsored by PRS Office Furniture and Envirologistics – can now look forward to the new season.
