Hemel Hempstead fighter Denniston ‘Mad Max’ Sutherland has been lined up for a cage battle that could transform his career.

The pair will do battle on August 3 at London’s Troxy where the pair will headline UCMMA 35. Sutherland will be defending his middleweight title.

In the past Sutherland, 40, has made no secret of his desire to join top fighters in the UFC ranks and this will be a battle that fight recruiters will be watching closely.

UCMMA events co-ordinator Harry Shoebridge said: “This is a fight that the fans weren’t expecting. Vemola’s dismissal from the UFC has left him very, very hungry. I cannot wait to see which one of these two shark gets eaten alive. Middleweight title clashes don’t get bigger than this one.”
