Small handed a four-game ban for ‘sustained and violent punching’

Hemel Stags’ Aaron Small has been suspended by an independent disciplinary panel after being found guilty of offences during the Kingstone Press Championship One fixture against Hunslet Hawks.

Small has been suspended for four matches and fined £50 after pleading guilty to Grade D sustained and violent punching.

Jamaine Akaidere of Hunslet Hawks has been suspended for six matches and fined £50 after pleading guilty to Grade E sustained, violent and aggressive punching in the incident which took place in the 75th minute ofd the match.

Previously, Stags player Romaine Navarette was banned for one game by the Rugby Football League after offering an early guilty plea for fighting with Hunslet’s Jimmy Watson in the same brawl.

Navarette pleaded guilty to the Grade B charge and will miss Hemel’s home fixture against York City Knights on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Watson also pleaded guilty for his actions in the same incident and similarly received a one match ban from the RFL.
