The main event for the Gade Valley Harriers at the weekend was The Finchley 20 – a 20-mile road race around Ruislip in Middlesex.
The Finchley 20 is the longest running road race of its distance in the UK and has been run annually since 1933.
The course was an undulating one and consisted of four laps, with more than 500 runners taking on the challenge in glorious sunshine.
The Harriers fielded 14 runners, and personal bests were set by Dave Wise, Stephen Newing, Ed Price, Helen Terry, Simon Wallis, Kelly Smyth, Joanna Kidd, Andrew Bishop and Gemma Bitaraf which bodes well for their spring marathons.
Gade Valley finished fifth overall out of the 15 clubs that took part on the on the day.
