Mason Brand led the way as a young trio from Berkhamsted Swimming Club returned to Norwich for the second week of the East region Age Group Championships.
After watching Roisin Clarke swim her first ever race in a 50m pool and improve her all course personal best by six seconds, Brand was soon in action in the 200 IM.
And after qualifying in third place for the final, he raised the bar yet again to record a four-second PB to claim the silver medal.
For the second session on Saturday, Brand was joined by 11-year-old Charlotte Shaw who posted a short course PB in the 200m breaststroke to place 11th overall.
Brand then added a seventh-placed finish in the 200m freestyle and a bagged fourth in the breaststroke to finish the day in third position overall.
On the final day, Clarke was back again for the 200m backstroke and performed well to finish 37th overall.
Brand, meanwhile had three events left, the 100m butterfly, 400m freestyle and 200m butterfly, and he bagged silver in the butterfly to take third overall in the region.
Over the course of the championship, he set PB times in each of his 11 races, collecting two gold medals, two silvers and a bronze.
Berkhamsted Swimming Club head coach Geoff Wood said: “Our three swimmers were well received for swimming ability as well as their demeanour and behaviour as the club continues to build its reputation across the board.”
