Dacorum and Tring AC Road Runner Jamie Marlow won the Ashridge Trail Half Marathon in a time of 1:29:19 – nearly four minutes ahead of the second-placed finisher.
Team-mate John Slack finished next for the club, in 2:18:41, followed by Alexia Bayliss in 2:24:28.
The 13.1-mile race is an annual fundraiser for Rennie Grove Hospice Care, and this year featured the Ivinghoe Beacon and a number of other challenging climbs.
Other Dacorum & Tring runners were out in force around the country, with Chris Kitchener completing the Water Wipeout 10km ultimate obstacle race and mud run in Nottingham.
Elsewhere, Nick Manning was racing the Wiggle Mountain Mayhem, a 24-hour solo mountain bike race in Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire.
Meanwhile, six club members ran the St Albans Parkrun on Saturday, coming up with four new personal bests.
Simon Walker was first home in a new PB of 19:18, while James Wass also got a PB of 20:30 and was first JM15-17 runner across the line.
James’ dad Andy took nearly a minute off his PB to finish in 23:35 and Charlotte Ashton was second VW35-39 with a new PB of 24:04.
Michael Lamb completed his 128th Parkrun, finishing in 21:02, and his daughter Calypso, running her 114th Parkrun, was only seven seconds off her PB with a time of 25:57.
