KITCHENERS Bowls Club are through to the third round of the County Triples.
Michael Connell, Steve Delderfield and Jack Hubert were successful.
They were joined by Roy Phipps in the third round of the County Rink.
Dave Collins and Brian Rumph are through to the fourth round of the County Pairs.
Meanwhile, Kitcheners went out of the Ray Cup by two shots to Bovingdon on Thursday.
On Saturday, they entertained Herts Club in a four-rink mixed match and lost 82-73.
Highest rink for Kitcheners were Mavis Janes, Joy Starling, Chris Ivin and Michael Connell.
On Sunday, they went to Chess Vale and won by seven shots.
Highest rink was Starling again with John Lane, Dave Collins and Sue Halsey.
Tring enjoyed their most successful run of the season so far, with Pete Routley, David Holloway and Pete Taylor winning their County Triples against Garston 20 shots to 11.
In the Watford & District Ray Cup, they had a convincing win over Kings Langley 72-43.
Geoff Eldridge, Steve Hart, Colin Fleming and John Eames won by a single shot for Langley but it was not enough.
In the County League, Tring they had a nail-biting match with Garston drawing 40 shots each.
Lyn Boniface and Bob Kerry were involved in a very tense third round of the National Mixed Pairs.
The match was decided on the last end as Tring came out on top by 19 shots to 18.
In their match with Garston Ladies, Tring came through winning 26-16.
Top rink went to Jo Turney, Zena Livesey, Kath Moxon and Gill Watson.
The mixed match against Owls saw Tring win by 93 shots to 88.
For Potten End, Dave Gomm, Tony Howard and Phil Bunting are through to the next round of the County Truples, beating Garston 19–12.
In the County fours, they beat Herts 25-10.
Edie Coxhill and Linda Burfot are through to the next round of the Watford and District ladies pairs, beating a team from Croxley 28 -12.
Last Monday, Kings Langley ladies won by 10 shots in a league match away at Croxley Guild.
Olive Rogers, Marion Clarke, Rosemary Biggs and Margaret Ludlow took top rink 22-8.
Last Tuesday, Kings Langley won by 19 shots in their men’s County League match against Abbots Langley.
Frank Turtle, Richard Rigarlsford, Alan Clark and Roy Wildman won 26-13.
The ladies’ friendly at Bushey on Friday was a defeat for Kings, after they lost on both rinks and 50-40 overall.
Langley also lost to Croxley Guild in the men’s league match and the ladies’ friendly. Only a rink of Eric Hatch, Bob Alexander, Bob Thompson and Tony Newbould survived unbeaten.
