The ladies of Little Hay Golf Club have been on fire in recent weeks, recording victories in five separate open competitions.

On Thursday, the team of Elaine Meagher, Pauline Manning, Chris Marsden and Linda Reeve joined forces and took first place at the Welwyn Garden City Golf Club Open Stableford competition.

Competing against 24 other teams, with the best three scores counting on each hole, the ladies scored a total of 122 points over 18 holes to clinch victory from Chigwell by one point.

Two weeks earlier, three ladies’ teams from Little Hay Golf Club competed against 28 other pairs to secure first, second and third places at the Redbourn Golf Club Ladies’ Open.

In the four ball better ball competition, Dorcas Kindinger and Marsden scored 40 points for first place, ahead of runners-up Meagher and Reeve, and Manning and Claire Stammeijer in third.

Elsewhere, the trio of Meagher, Reeve and Marsden were also successful at the inaugural Ladies’ Open at Sandford Springs in Hampshire, as well as the Northampton Ladies’ Open.

In addition, Marsden and Nichola Goddard teamed up to compete in the Berkhamsted Ladies’ Open – playing 36 holes of Stableford foursomes and posting an excellent combined winning score of 79 points.
