After their crushing defeat against Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire darts team played host to league-leaders Nottinghamshire at the Shamrock Club and came away with a hard-fought 19-19 draw.
In a fluctuating game, the draw moves Herts back up to third position in the overall league standings.
The Ladies’ B team got Herts off to a flier against Notts as they picked up a thumping 6-0 win.
Boxmoor’s Kelly Brown did her bit as she kept her unbeaten record this season with a 3-1 victory.
The win keeps the ladies 11 points clear at the top of their division with three games left and 18 points to play for.
Next up for Herts was the Men’s B team, who continued their up and down season with an 8-4 loss.
The following day, with the overall score 10-8 in Hertfordshire’s favour, the Ladies’ A team took to the ochey and maintained the team’s advantage with a 3-3 draw.
It was then down to the Men’s A team to try and see the match out for Herts, but a 7-5 defeat saw the overall result end all square.
After a nightmare start, Herts found themselves 6-0 down, but the side launched a spirited comeback to salvage something from the match.
Boxmoor representative Peter Kosmalski put in a captain’s display to dig out a gutsy 3-2 win, before team-mate John McGuirk added to the team’s tally with a 3-1 triumph.
