Gade Valley Harriers duo Mikey Ferris and Joanna Kidd travelled to Chicago, Illinois, in the USA to compete in the Soldier Field 10-mile race.
Mikey was first home in 1:06:55, in 145th place, out of a field of more than 11,000 runners. Joanna finished in a very respectable 1:40:52.
Closest to home was Gade Valley Harrier Steve Reeve, who braved the torrential rain on Saturday to set a new PB at the St Albans parkrun.
He shaved a huge 39 seconds off his previous PB, to come home in 21:41.
At the BUPA 10K race in St James’ Park in London, four Harriers took on the challenge, with Tanya Saunders, Odette Messenger, Rob Potton and Rich Hutton competing.
Rich was first home for the Harriers in 48:44, Rob right on his heels in 48:50. Tanya was next over the line in a new PB of 57:58, with Odette also setting a new PB of 58:36.
