Edwin Alcantara has moved across the county border to join the Herts Falcons from the Essex Arrows after winning the NBL National Championship last season.

Over the last four seasons Alcantara has been one of the most feared batters in the National Baseball League, accumulating nine home runs during that period.

He spent his first three seasons in the NBL with the invincible Harlow Nationals, winning three consecutive NBL titles between 2011 and 2013, before moving to the Essex Arrows and making it four title wins in a row.

Herts fans will have a chance to see him in the Herts Spring League before the NBL season opener on April 12 at Grovehill Ballpark.
