Dacorum & Tring AC sprinter Dominic Ashwell finished a brilliant third in the U17 men’s 100m in a time of 11.15s at the Inter County East event at the Bedford International Games.
Ashwell was invited to compete for Hertfordshire after winning the County Championships in Watford.
Megan Smith also competed at the games, placing third in the U20 women’s high jump with a leap of 1.64m – not far off her season’s best of 1.70m, which also won her the county title in Watford.
The Bedford International Games were first held in 1995 to provide athletes on the verge of national and international success with top class competition.
