On a low-key weekend for Dacorum & Tring AC Road Runners after several weeks of podium finishes, outright wins and personal bests, 12 members took on the inaugural Tring parkrun.
The club was led home by new member Paddy Ashton, who finished in 23:47 for first senior man in the 20-24 age group.
Michael Lamb was next, finishing in 24:01 in what was his 144th Parkrun at seven different locations, including the Shongweni parkrun in South Africa. Joining him as finishers of Tring’s first ever parkrun were Rob Salt, Martin Kerr, Vicky Thornley, Rob Deane, Jessica Tanner, Jan Strachan, Michelle Ashwell, Calypso Phillips, Pat Hayball and Rob Wright.
Michael followed up his Saturday parkrun with a superb performance the following day in the Stevenage Half Marathon, breaking his vet PB by 17 seconds to cross the line in 1:42:30.
