TringRugby Academy booked their place in the third round of the National Colts Cup with a 36-5 victory at Norfolk side Wymondham RFC.

Tring’s team spirit and focus ensured that the home side never got into their stride as the visiting defence continually pressured Wymondham into mistakes.

Going forward, tries from Jack Hunter, man of the match Ed Armitage and Tom Geere, along with seven points from the boot of Sam Masters, gave Tring a comfortable 22-0 half-time lead.

Tring continued to test the Wymondham defence and further tries from Jonathon Blanksby and Dan Peplow ensured a consolation effort from the hosts late in the game had no effect on the result.
