The Camelot U10s got a taste of the tough task that faces them when they travel to Allianz Park for the Saracens Cup as they came out second best in a bruising encounter with near neighbours Chesham.
A squad of 16 Camelot players travelled to Chesham to form two teams of eight for a total of six matches.
Despite some excellent team play, too often the young Hemel side lost out in the rucks that cost them vital tries as the home side went on to win four of the six games, with one match ending in a draw.
However, Camelot finished on a high with a 1-0 win in the final match.
That boosted their confidence ahead of next weekend’s first festival entry of the season since the squad was rebuilt earlier in the season after a change in coaching staff.
The squad is still on the lookout for new recruits to join, and anybody interested in taking part should contact head coach Dave Martin at email@example.com
