Bury Judo Club show they are the top of the chops

Hemel Hempstead-based Bury Judo Club recorded some excellent results at the Chalfont Judo Championships, coming home with a hatful of medals.

Bury won 14 medals in total, including golds for Elliot Davies, Koby Duberry and Adam Hardacre, and silvers for Thomas Lewis, Ben Dibdin, Jayden Duberry, Liam Trill-Green, Beth O’Connor and Maddie McGuire.

Bronzes went to Sam Lewis, Cain Denham, Logan Reed and Elliot Davies, with Davies winning his medal in an open category.

Bury coach Roy Smith said: “Everyone who entered did really well, and we send out a massive thank you to all our parents for their patience and support on the day.”

Congratulations also go to Haydn Williams who fought in the BSJA National Championships in Sheffield, taking a bronze medal for Parmiters School.
