A baseball game in Hemel Hempstead created quite a buzz when it was interrupted by a swarm of bees.

During Sunday’s clash between the Herts Falcons and Harlow Nationals at Grovehill Ballpark, the fielding Harlow players were forced to dive face-down onto the grass to avoid the bees.

One Nationals outfielder even fled across the field and threw himself over the outfield fence to avoid the swarm.

Play resumed after a short break, with nobody appearing to have been stung.
