Karting prodigy Josh Price picked up his second podium place of the year, in the final of the Super One Junior Rotax Championship at Glan Y Gors in Wales.

It was another superb performance from 14-year-old Josh, who drove consistently well throughout the weekend and was rewarded with a third place finish, just 0.37 seconds off the eventual winner.

Josh qualified for the final after an impressive string of performances over the weekend, finishing third, second and third in his respective heats, resulting in him achieving a front row position for the final.

Josh’s kart was performing well and, starting second on the grid, he swept into the lead before even the first bend, and for the first 15 of the 22 laps, he was leading the pack.

For the majority of the race, it looked as though Josh was going to maintain his early lead and finish in first place, but he was narrowly overtaken towards the culmination of the race, and had to settle for a close third place.

However, this result means that Josh climbs to third in the Super One British Championship and he now lies fifth in the European equivalent.

He is one of the fastest riders on the European circuit, and looks on course to be involved at the top end of both Championships, come the end of the season.

To watch Josh in action, tune in to Sky Channel 447 on Monday, July 8 at 7.30pm to watch a replay of the race.
