Dacorum & Tring Athletics and Road Running Club has again been recognised as an outstanding sports club, receiving the England Athletics ‘Accredited Club’ status for the second consecutive three-year cycle.

The club was first awarded Clubmark status in 2010 in recognition of the high standards of coaching, training, administration and child welfare it provides.

Karen Stephanou of England Athletics presented the renewed Clubmark certificate at the Dacorum & Tring AC HQ at the Sportspace athletics track at Hemel Hempstead’s Jarman Park.

The Clubmark status is part of the only national sports quality accreditation scheme, and ensures that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted standards.

The club is open to athletes of all abilities from age 10 and up interested in all track-based events as well as cross-country, while the Dacorum & Tring AC Road Runners section welcomes runners of all abilities aged 16 and over.

Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm at the Sportspace track.

The club is hosting an open evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, September 19, and all are welcome for an evening of athletics and road running.

Special guests on the night include the Mizuno Road Show Tech Truck, offering free gait analysis, 3D imaging and try-ons, Berkhamsted Sports sportswear and footwear specialists and registered physiotherapist Martin Storrie.
