Kings Langley Cricket Club held their annual awards night to celebrate the successes of the 2014 season.

The club was satisfied with the outcome from all four senior Herts league sides.

The first XI have maintained their position in a strong Division One, having been promoted last year, while other sides finished in the top halves of their respective divisions.

This is important as next season it is proposed that each division will be halved, with the top half staying together. Another positive factor was the average ages of the sides, with many youngsters now coming through the ranks.

The individual award winners were: Fourth team bowler of the year - Tony Thompson; fourth team batsman - Dave Barton; third team batsman - David Burnell; third team bowler - Scott Rolfe; second team batsman - Tim Piper; second team bowler - Ben Joyce; first team bowler - Andrew Burnell; first team batsman - Tom Sambrook.
