Hawks edged out by Royals

Hatch End Hawks 10
 Newbury Royals 11

Hat-tricks from Alana Zukas and Katie Bohane were not enough to prevent the Hatch End Hawks from slipping to a narrow defeat against Newbury Royals in their Premier League lacrosse fixture.

Hawks raced into a 2-0 lead early on, but Newbury fought back to take a 6-5 advantage in at half-time.

The Royals extended their lead to three goals, but the Hawks battled back to level things up with five minutes to play.

However, with the full-time whistle looming, Newbury struck again to snatch the win.
