Webb weaves magic to send Eagles into cup semis
Bradley Webb scored with 20 seconds to go to send Comets Eagles U9s into the semi final of the County Cup in their first season of competitive football.
They went one down to Park Street Village early on but levelled through Louie Collier.
Just when it looked like penalties were on the cards up popped Web with the winner.
Fellow U9-ers Comets Kestrels came away from Berko Raiders Red with a 6-2 win courtesy of an Alfie Walbancke hat-trick, two Charlie Feighery strikes and one by Harry Smitten.
It was honours shared as U10 sides Hemel Aces Black and Berko Raiders Blue played.
A goal from Aaron 'the wizard' Whitehead helped Aces stay top of the league in the 1-1 draw. Workhorse Sam Picton was man of the match.
Hemel Athletic U10s came from two down against Hadley to seal a wonder win.
Oliver Morris notched his first goalfor the club before captain Alex Taylor, playing up front, bagged two.
Man of the match went to the in-form Fynn Archibald.
Hemel Stags Aces Wasps U11s' title challenge is still very much alive after a 5-0 defet of Harpenden Colts Cobras.
Nathan Ress headed the opener before Joe Johnson and Louis Smith combined to set up Edward Langley. Bestone Matabile and Smith (2) were also on the scoresheet.
Berko Raiders won both their games in a double header.
The U12 side smashed St Albans West in their first game – two own goals and strikes from Jack Hudson, Matty Lee and George Darby giving them the win.
They won the second thanks to Darby again and Charlie Anderson.
Woodhall Wanderers U15s went through to the next round of the League Cup, despite going one down to Tornado JSC.
Luke Gill equalised before Tornado went in front again. But goals from Silky Gakou, Liam Cowing, Jason Potts (3), Ted Hazel and birthday boy Ross Wilson gave them a memorable win.
Liam Cowing was man of the match.
To the Watford Friendly League and centre back Matt Pearson was man of the match as Berkhamsted Raiders were beaten 3-0 a home byRiverside.
Echoes Orange meanwhile emerged from a double header against Chorleywood Whites with six points.
In the first match Perrie McClellan opened the scoring before Echoes stopper Nick Woolf was called on to save one of two Chorleywood penalties, he could do nothing about the other.
A last minute header from man of the matches Emi Zavala, converting Ollie Gurney's cross, won it.
Zavala and Gurney were first to score in the second game, and after Chorleywood pulled one back it was left to Kyle Batchelor and skipper Chris Eccles (2) to seal the victory.
