Hemel Hempstead Town have signed midfielder James Potton from Chesham United on a two-year deal.
Potton, who lives locally and is a former pupil of Hemel Hempstead School, went to university before making his Chesham United debut in 2010.
He went on to score more than 50 goals and was a key member of the Generals team that finished as runners-up to Hemel last season.
Hemel Town manager Dean Brennan said: “We had a list of four specific targets to sign this summer; with the signatures of Wes Daly and now James Potton we’re already halfway there.
“James is a fantastic addition to our squad, I’ve admired him for two seasons now and we can’t wait to see him perform in a Hemel shirt once the season is under way”.
Potton joins 17 members of last season’s Tudors squad who have already pledged their future to the club.
