Hemel Hempstead Town set up a Herts Senior Cup semi-final meeting with Dacorum neighbours Berkhamsted as they beat a young Watford side 5-2 at Vauxhall Road.

Tuesday night’s quarter-final clash was the third time that the game had been rescheduled, and Hemel got the job done in the second half after the teams went in all-square at 1-1 at half-time.

In an entertaining game, the Watford youngsters ran out of steam after the break and it was a fairly comfortable win for Dean Brennan’s Tudors in the end.

A 1 - 1 scoreline at half-time was fair, with Nicke Kabamba heading home an excellent cross from James Potton, and Kunle Otudeko getting the goal for the young Hornets.

Kabamba notched his second goal when he hit a superb long range effort into the top corner after winning the ball back to make it 2-1.

Some sloppy defending from Hemel allowed Watford to get back into it at 2-2, before Dennis Oli restored the lead for the Tudors minutes later.

Striker Oli then got his second goal of the night to make it 4-2, before Zane Banton finished the scoring off after good work by Mo Shariff.

Next up for the Tudors is a trip to playoff rivals Ebbsfleet United on Saturday afternoon.

Hemel currently sit in eighth place in the Conference South table, one point above Ebbsfleet but with a game in hand over the Kent side.

Both teams will be looking for a result to boost their playoff hopes, with Gosport Borough having won on Tuesday night to reclaim fifth spot.

Hemel are seven points adrift of Gosport with two games in hand.
