Hemel Hempstead Town and Berkhamsted both saw their fixtures postponed last night as a result of yet more wet weather.

Sports pitches around the country have taken a battering in recent weeks, and heavy downpours yesterday added to the already sodden surfaces.

Hemel were scheduled to take on Stourbridge at Vauxhall Road but the game was called off following a 2.30pm pitch inspection.

Weather permitting, the Tudors will return to action on Saturday in a Calor League Premier Division home clash with Chippenham Town, 3pm kick-off.

Berkhamsted, meanwhile, were due to play Oxhey Jets in a St Mary’s Cup semi-final at Broadwater last night.

The new date for the clash is yet to be rearranged.

Next up for Berko is a home fixture against Hanwell Town on Saturday afternoon, 3pm kick-off.
