Berkhamsted Raiders U10 Green 4 Hemel Town Youth Blue 1
Berkhamsted Raiders Green U10 have been crowned champions of the West Herts Youth League U10 White Division.
The boys romped to the title by a 10-point margin over Chipperfield Corinthians, winning 16 of their 20 league games.
And they finished the season on a high with a 4-1 victory over Hemel Town Youth Blue.
With the title already wrapped up, Raiders went out for the last time together as a team before they split up into 9-a-side football next season.
The Greens were quickly into their stride and took a deserved lead through Joe Forster.
Raiders continued to press as they looked to double their advantage, and the second goal duly arrived soon after half-time when Forster fed Adam Oliver to slot home from a tight angle.
With their tails up, Berko continued to attack with pace and power and made it 3-0 courtesy of a deflected effort from Louis Priggen.
That effectively ended the game as a contest, and Priggen bagged his second goal of the game shortly afterwards when he rounded the Hemel keeper before sliding the ball home.
To their credit, Hemel kept battling and pulled a goal back late on, but it was the Raiders who were celebrating at the final whistle.
The man of the match accolade went to Berko keeper Conor Loveland.
