Tring Athletic picked up their first win in eight games as they saw off London Tigers 2-0 at The Grass Roots Stadium on Tuesday night.

Neither team could force a breakthrough in the first half, but Tring broke the deadlock in the 65th minute courtesy of a Trevor Gibbs penalty.

And it was 2-0 nine minutes later when Chris Vardy showed his pace to dispatch the killer goal.

The win moves Athletic up four places to 11th in the SSML Premier Division table.

Next up for Tring is a home clash with London Lions on Saturday.
