Kentish Town 2 Kings Langley 4
KINGS Langley took all three points in an entertaining clash at Kentish Town.
After trailing 2-0, the visitors dug deep to secure the win with two Gary Connolly penalties inside the last 10 minutes.
Kentish Town took an early lead through Adam Murat’s 25 yard shot, and Kings suffered further woe when Sam Warrell was forced off after 25 minutes, before Craig Lynskey had an effort disallowed for offside.
Steve Noonan hit the bar as Kings continued to press, but the home side went further ahead when Oluseye Adegoke beat the offside trap and finished with aplomb.
Crucially, however, Langley’s reply was instant as Liam James’ shot took a deflection to beat impressive Town keeper Elias Farah.
And moments later, Kings found themselves back on level terms. Nathan Pooley’s blocked shot rebounded to Jack Johnson, and he netted from close range to restore parity.
With the momentum now well and truly in Kings’ favour, Town began to crumble and Kyle Gillies was dismissed for a second yellow card.
Craig Lynskey was then brought down in the penalty area to allow Connolly to give Kings the lead for the first time from the spot.
And the result was put beyond doubt as Connolly added his second penalty of the game to wrap up the win with two minutes left after a foul on Ryan Denham.
