Hemel Hempstead Town will be desperate to return to form at AFC Totton tomorrow after a mini-slump that has seen them lose back-to-back league fixtures.
The Tudors had been enjoying a remarkable run of nine consecutive victories in all competitions, but 1-0 defeats to Bideford and Frome Town put an end to their hot streak.
Hemel will have been stung by the defeats, and it comes as a big surprise that the previously free-scoring Tudors have gone 180 minutes without finding the net in the league.
Despite the losses, Dean Brennan’s men still boast a healthy eight-point lead at the top of the SSML Premier Division table and remain clear favourites for the title.
They know they will need to get back on track tomorrow, though, if they are to prevent nearest challengers Chesham United and Cambridge City from cutting their advantage further.
There are signs that the Hemel are heading back to form, following a 4-3 cup win over St Albans City on Tuesday night.
Tomorrow’s is a must-win game for the Tudors, with Totton languishing in 23rd place in the table and without a win in their last five fixtures.
And despite their last two defeats, football statistics and predictions website betstatz.com suggests that Hemel will get back on track at Testwood Stadium tomorrow.
“Hemel have experienced a blip in their recent form however this weekend they play an AFC Totton side who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 25 league games and have conceded 45 goals in their last 12,” said betstatz owner Nick Gelis.
“Hemel on the other hand have scored 86 in 27, which is still the best attack rate across Europe, and the stats suggest they are likely to hit 90 goals by the end of the weekend.
“This week our prediction is a big Hemel win with over 4.5 goals and correct score of 4-1.”
