Hemel Hempstead Town will be hoping that their Vauxhall Road pitch stands up to the latest bout of heavy rain as they prepare to take on Chippenham Town tomorrow.
The table-topping Tudors are currently enjoying a three-game winning streak and will be aiming to extend it to four games against the Bluebirds.
Hemel boast an impressive 14-point lead at the top of the Calor League Southern Premier Division table and have scored 99 league goals so far this campaign – overtaking their previous record tally of 98 goals scored in the 1999/2000 season*.
Since Hemel suffered consecutive defeats at the hands of Bideford and Frome, the Tudors have now scored 18 goals in their last three league games, winning all three.
Last time out, Den Brennan’s side thumped Truro 6-1 with captain Jordan Parkes and striker Lewis Toomey bagging a hat-trick apiece.
Chippenham, meanwhile, were beaten 3-1 by Bashley in midweek which was the Bluebirds’ first defeat since mid-December.
Should the game go ahead, Hemel will fancy their chances of taking all three points to continue their surge towards the title.
And football statistics and predictions website betstatz.com suggests that the Tudors have good reason to feel confident.
“This weekend the bookmakers have made Hemel heavy favourites to win the game,” said betstatz Owner Nick Gelis. “This is not surprising given the fantastic Hemel home form this season; scoring 60 goals and conceding just eight in 14 home games!
“Chippenham have some decent fire power up-front, having scored in 22 of their last 28 league games but they have kept just two clean sheets over the last 20 games, so they may find the Hemel attack overwhelming.
“Our statistical prediction this week is Hemel to win, a correct score of 3-1 to Hemel and over 3.5 goals in the game.”
