The family-owned Nisa Local store in Crabtree Lane, Hemel Hempstead was proud to sponsor the Chris Brooks Hemel Sevens football tournament last weekend for the fifth year running.

As well as donating a cheque for £1,000, Team Nisa was there in force to provide much needed drinks and snacks as well as a barbecue throughout the weekend.

Thousands of youngsters made their way to the annual event to do battle in age groups from U7 to U15.

Thousands more came to watch, helping to raise much needed funds for the Hemel Hempstead Town Youth Football Club teams.

Store owner Kishor Patel said: “Our store is at the heart of our local community, so we’re delighted to be able to support events such as this, which encourages everyone in the community to work together.”

HHTYFC representative Karli Horwood added: “Thanks to Nisa Local for their fantastic support, as ever.”

HHTYFC is a registered charity working within the community to promote football in local schools and run various programmes
