New Bradwell St Peter 1 Kings Langley 6
Apart from leaders London Colney, Kings continue to be the current form team of the division as they stunned New Bradwell with a complete all-round performance.
Craig Lynskey and Jack Johnson served notice with chances in the first two minutes, before Johnson and Liam James combined for Steve Noonan to rise above the defence and guide his header into the top corner of the net.
Chris Mason then re-won a ball on the right and his acutely angled shot went in off the keeper. Sean Carr responded with two efforts just over the bar, in between which Craig Lynskey ran the length of the half to steer the ball past Sam Jay.
Kings kept the pressure on in the second half, when Jack Johnson’s cross was fired home by Nathan Pooley, a perfectly flighted Gary Connolly diagonal cross was converted on the volley by Liam James, and Craig Lynskey’s low shot from a Phil Morgan pass eluded the keeper.
The pace and footwork of substitute Derick McDonald bemused the previously untroubled defence as he bagged a late consolation, but as the weather deteriorated, Langley played out time to take the points and a top six placing for the first time this season.
