WATFORD Peace Shield holders SWR Doors missed out this year as they went down 4-1 at Wellington Arms.

A lone goal from Aaron Lewis was all they had to show for their efforts, in what was a disappointing end to this year’s cup run.

In the West Herts Junior Cup, Hemel Sharpshooters registered an impressive victory over Rickmansworth St George. Warren Davies notched the all-important goal in a 1-0 win.

Hemel Rovers were also in cup action – in the West Herts Senior cup – and easily beat Maple Cross 6-3.

It was a good day for Micky Hoare who scored four goals, while Curtis Donaldson grabbed the other two.

In Premier Division action, Tring Athletic A shared the points in a 2-2 draw with Harpenden Rovers. Glen Sizer and Dan Smethers notched their goals.

Meanwhile, Division One side Hemel Rovers Reserves beat Bovingdon 4-2 .Two goals from Wasim Hussain, plus strikes from Dave Flack and Dan Thorne, gave Rovers a four-goal lead but Bovingdon came back with two second half efforts.

In Division Two, Gadebridge FC beat Abbotts Langley 4-0. Lewis Crowys helped himself to a hat-trick with Ged Butler also on target.

Tring Athletic B had plenty of goals in their game but lost out 6-4 to Glebe Sports.

Keeperless Hemel Rovers’ third string played their last league game of the season and lost out 3-0 at Croxley. Rovers finish bottom of the league and have conceded 84 goals in doing so.
