Hemel Ladies see hopes hit by Maidstone

Maidstone 3 Hemel Town Ladies 1

HEMEL Town Ladies saw their chances of promotion all but disappear as they slumped to a disappointing defeat at Maidstone.

Gemma Darvill gave Hemel the lead after 10 minutes, but that was the only bright moment for the Tudors and it was all downhill from there.

Maidstone equalised before half-time then added a second just after the break as the home side began to take control.

Hemel could not find a foothold in the game and, unsurprisingly, Maidstone added a third with 15 minutes to go to wrap up the win.

Next up for the Tudors is a home clash with Wimbledon in the league on Sunday.
