Hemel Hempstead duo Dylan Jones and Will Pritchard have been shining for Arsenal Soccer Schools after they were selected to play in matches against Chelsea and Norwich elite development centres.

Dylan, of Holtsmere End School, and Two Waters School pupil Will were taking part in the Arsenal Soccer Schools Advanced training programme – a scheme that allows the players to test their skill against some of the best development squads in the country.

The Arsenal Soccer Schools squad performed well against Chelsea but struggled to finish their chances, with the two matches ending in a 1-0 defeat and a 3-0 defeat.

However Dylan, Will and the rest of the U10 squad turned in a far sharper performance when they travelled to Norwich.

Although the opening stages of both matches were tight, Arsenal Soccer Schools proved to be too strong for Norwich in the end, with the first match finishing 6-3 to Arsenal and the second match finishing 6-1.

“I was extremely pleased with all of the boys that took part,” said Simon Blundell, head of Arsenal Soccer Schools Hertfordshire development. “They played some outstanding football against some really high class opposition and I hope that they continue to work just as hard as they have been.”
