HEMEL Hempstead Town Ladies started their County Cup run with an emphatic 9-0 victory away at Hitchin Hearts.

The Tudors put in an impressive performance from the off and were duly rewarded with the opening goal from Nash Mohamed after 19 minutes, prior to which Suzy Read had hit the bar.

Charlene Turturici made it 2-0 a few minutes later with a 25-yard screamer, and Suzy Read effectively put the result beyond doubt before half-time as she added a third goal 10 minutes before the interval.

A rampant Hemel side were in the mood for goals, and continued to dominate proceedings in the second half.

Read hit her second of the game after 59 minutes, before Turturici made it 5-0 to the Tudors just one minute later.

Read completed her hat-trick shortly after, and added a fourth 10 minutes later to put Hemel seven goals to the good.

Kayleigh Baker then got herself on the scoresheet with a long range effort 10 minutes from time

And to cap the game off for the Tudors, a rare strike from centre-back Katie Grossmith made it a 9-0 and sent them flying into the next round of the competition.

Next up for Hemel is an FA Cup tie against Leighton United Vixens at Vauxhall Road.
