Raiders started brightly in the second half and Luke Waterman scored from a deflected shot. The final goal deserved to win any match, Jack Bettridge flicked the ball up and hit a volley from 20 yards into the top corner.
Chorleywood U11 Lions 1 – 4 Hemel Stag Aces U11 Lions
20/09/09
Stag Aces Lions were in possession most of the first half, and had three times as many attempts on goal. But the visiting supporters had to wait until the 28th minute before Jake Strain landed a shot past James Feast in the Chorleywood goal.
The hosts stepped up the pressure during the second half. A good follow up presented Jake Strain with a brace, and two minutes later a courageous sliding shot after the re-start put Jack Christie on the Stag Aces score sheet. Both teams were working hard, as Josh Walton scored a well balanced goal for Chorleywood. With more attempts at both ends, James Verney put the result beyond doubt.
Aces Lions Moment of the Match: Jack Christie, for having a go. Aces Lions Man of the Match: James Verney, for grit and determination.

SYNOPSIS
The first half was very even and ACES had a bit of luck to come in 2 0 up. However, today proved that when the team play together like they did in the second half goals will come and teams are very much beatable. This was a great start to a long campaign keep up the levels of fitness boys and who knows – Well done!
This Weeks man of the Match went to Jordan Palmer for his great effort in striker support scoring a hat trick, valuable support in midfield and defence throughout the game always playing his part throughout the game.
U11 divison 3 result

Hemel Stags Aces 2 -1 Comets Dolphins
Hemel Aces were truly magnificent tonight. They all looked focused and determined before the game started and despite constant pressure on our defence, they went a goal ahead early on in the match when Chris' thunderous free-kick found the top corner. Sam was kept well and truly busy but managed to quieten the Comets runners as the game went on. Dom had a fantastic game and was as solid as always, and Tylers clearing headers made sure Comets never got a chance at any set play. Comets remained strong in the first half, but against the run of play, Dan's strike from just outside the box made it 2-1 at half-time. Second half Aces got stronger. Obi came back on and had several chances at goal and Campbell found time out of his busy defensive duties for a few attacking runs down the right. Chris' efforts in midfield were fantastic and Jacob did not give up a single ball. A fantastic, gritty and determined team performance. Well Done!!!
