FOOTBALL: Sean Dyche recorded his first win as Watford manager as the Hornets claimed an impressive 2-0 victory at Reading.
Mark Yeates opened the scoring for the Golden Boys after 12 minutes courtesy of an exquisite 25-yard free-kick.
Mathieu Manset almost found a reply for the Royals, but his headed effort flew over the crossbar.
And Reading were made to pay for the miss as Watford skipper John Eustace slotted home from close range after 51 minutes to double the advantage.
Royals defender Alex Pearce was caught by a lapse of concentration, and after the ball was played across goal, Eustace was on hand to net his first goal since April.
Reading toiled in vain to get something from the game, with Mikele Leigertwood shooting wide and Hal Robson-Kanu also unable to hit the target as the Hornets bagged the three points.
The win moves Watford up to 16th in the Championship table with six points from six games.
Next up, they travel to Barnsley on Saturday.
