The Leverstock Green Ladies U18s beat Garston Ladies in the League Cup final to complete the Herts Girls Football Partnership league and cup double.

The win also maintained Levy’s 100 per cent league and cup record over the entire campaign to put the gloss on an exceptional season.

After an even start to the game, Levy took the lead against Garston in the 17th minute when Cally Salter thumped home a 25-yard free-kick for her 42nd goal of the season.

Levy dominated the rest of the half but did not add to their tally until three minutes after the interval when Leigh Burrows pounced on a rebound to notch her 44th of the campaign.

Levy began to turn on the style and create a number of opportunities which ultimately culminated in Cally Salter and Ellen Salter combining to set up Pru Squires-Adams to score an opportunist goal on the hour mark.

The result was put beyond doubt just five minutes later when Pru bagged her second of the game and her 30th of the campaign with a sublime sweeping shot into the roof of the net.

Elsewhere, a 1-0 defeat at Chelmsford City on Sunday ended the Ladies’ first team’s chances of winning the ERWFL Division One North.

However, they still have a chance of finishing second in the division with one league game to play, and have the League Plate final to look forward to.
