Corinthians rebuild ahead of new season

MSSML Division Two side Tring Corinthians have unveiled a new management team as they look to rebuild after a difficult 2011/12 season. Simon Lacey returns to the club as manager after a five year break, and brings with him Jerry Dimond and Jason Weinrabe as coaches.

Lacey said: “Jerry and I enjoyed our last spell with the club, so when Ian Richardson decided to stand down, it didn’t take long for us to conclude that this opportunity was too good to turn down – especially when Jason expressed an interest in joining us.”

Dimond is an experienced coach and counts Aylesbury United, Aylesbury FC and Tring Athletic amongst his former clubs.

Weinrabe, meanwhile, has managed at Holmer Green and has coached at Berkhamstead Town.

The trio have moved swiftly in planning for pre-season, and Lacey said: “We are organised, with training sessions planned and a selection of excellent competitive fixtures lined up.

“It was important to give ourselves stern tests, to work out what we need to do before the season starts.

“I’d like to invite players, new and old to come to pre-season training and take a look at what we are looking to achieve.”
