Berkhamsted were sent crashing out of the Herts Senior Cup by a strong Bishop’s Stortford side.

It was always going to be a tough ask for Berko to get a result against the Blue Square Bet Conference North outfit, and the result went to form as Stortford’s class shone through.

The visitors raced into a 3-0 lead, before Lawrence Bunker gave Berko a lifeline from the penalty spot.

It was not to be for the Comrades, though, and Stortford wrapped up the win with a fourth goal.

Berko return to league action on Saturday afternoon with a trip to St Margaretsbury.

The Comrades currently sit in ninth place in the MSSML Premier Division.
