BERKHAMSTED fans will be delighted to hear that football is back at Broadwater.

After a restful summer break, the Comrades kick-off their pre-season friendlies with a home game against Northwood at 3pm on Saturday.

Northwood currently play one division higher than Berko in the non-league pyramid, so the fixture is set to be a good test for the Broadwater outfit.

Berkhamsted manager Mick Vipond (pictured) has a host of new signings to unveil for the game, alongside a dozen of last season’s MSSML Division One title winners.

On Tuesday, Berko entertain Old Bradwell United in another friendly, which kicks off at 7.45pm.

The newly-promoted Comrades will begin their MSSML Premier Division campaign with a home clash against London Tigers on Saturday, August 13.

They will then do battle with local rivals Tring Athletic the following Tuesday in what promises to be a hotly-contested encounter.
