Bunker ready to chip in again in the new year

FOOTBALL: Berkhamsted striker Lawrence Bunker may return to First Team action quicker than expected following his long-term injury setback.

Bunker underwent exploratory surgery to assess the damage to his injured knee and the results have come back positive.

The forward is expected to return to training early in the New Year.

The news will come as a boost to Comrades manager Mick Vipond as he looks to guide the side to promotion into the MSSML Premier Division

Bunker has been a big hit since moving to Broadwater from Pitstone and Ivinghoe early last season.

He has a record close to a goal a game for Berko and won the Division Two Golden Boot last campaign.
