west herts challenge cup ur 15s
Tornado JSC 1 Woodhall Wanderers 3
A good win for Wanderers , but it was,nt all one way traffic.
Wanderers went ahead when Silky Gakou dribbled around the tornado keeper and coolly despached the ball into the net. A defensive error then allowed Wanderers Luke Poulter to score their second. Tornado were unlucky not to reduce the deficit when they hit the upright, but Wanderers punished them after Jason Potts put Wanderers three up at half time.
Wanderers took control in the early part of the restart missing a number of chances to kill the game off, but then sat back allowing Tornado to come back into the match with a superbly taken goal by the tricky Tornado striker, Josh Codling. The momentum swung a little the way of the home side but in the end Wanderers were good value for their win.

Watford Friendly League U18
AC Finchley West 1 Echoes Orange 1
Little football was possible in windy conditions on a pitch resembling a ploughed field but Echoes still created enough chances to have won comfortably. An even first half saw few chances but Echoes moved in front just before the break when good work from man of the match Ollie Gurney saw him cross to the far post for Jack Barrett to steal in and head home well. In the second half Echoes played up the slope and into the wind and dominated - but the all important second goal would not come. The inability to kill off the game cost them as Finchley scored with the last kick of the game from a partially cleared corner.
