The Spartan South Midlands League have awarded Berkhamsted the first Premier Division Team of the Month award for the season.
Mick Vipond’s side are top of the division and have also progressed in the opening rounds of three cups during the first few weeks of the campaign.
It reflects a lot of hard work by the management team and additional coaches in rapidly integrating many new faces into the enlarged squad this season, as Berko have made an excellent start in their bid to win promotion.
The Comrades host Colney Heath on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Berko’s reserves stretched their lead at the top of the Suburban Leagues’ North division to 10 points on Tuesday night with a 6-2 win over Biggleswade United.
A burst of two fine goals midway through the first half from Nick Ward and Che To put Berko in front.
Tyler Joseph got a yellow card, conceding a penalty that was converted and United then equalised before the interval.
A sending off gave Berko a man advantage for most of the second half and they capitalised with Jay Caines scoring one and setting up Dale Sears for another.
Two substitutes also scored with a Pierce Kelly shot and Alfie Osborne with a header for his first of the season.
The reserves go to Bovingdon on Saturday in the Herts Intermediate Cup.
Berko’s U18 side are at home to Luton Town Cedars on next Wednesday in the Corinthian Division.
